Extraction Design
Stay up to date with all the latest carbon drawdown efforts.

Whats is Exaction Design?
We are a group of individuals dedicated to making a difference with what we have. We make a new kind of carbon scrubber that is entirely passive and can be tuned to a wide variety of applications.
This carbon scrubber technology utilizes a permanently charged cation to create the necessary conditions for converting CO2 molecules to bicarbonate molecules. These bicarbonate molecules are then ionically bound to the the surface of the resin and have effectively been "extracted" from the atmosphere. Once on the resin the ions are dissolves by a wash solution. This now carbon-rich solution can be used as a fertilizer additive. If used with the correct wash solution composition, the resulting bi-product could be a ready-for-use fertilizer. Or in other potential future applications a sodium bicarbonate bi-product could be used as a building material that could supplement concrete mixtures.

Next Steps
Implementation and deployment to target market
Exaction Designs next steps include
-Fabrication of a working beta prototype to test in the field. We already have a site selected and approval to use that site.
-Further material selection. We are continuing our search for more sustainable options for our base material.
-Forecasting the next market. When are looking for the next place we might be able to implement this technology.
